If hostage takers demanded it, would the US government be willing to publicly destroy the constitution?

Ok imagine some anti America group takes a howl… school hostage and demand that the American constitution be publically burnt and state that if it isn't they will kill the howl 5th grade, so which do you think they would do burn the constitution or likely let 60 children be killed?
Also as well as what you think they would do what do you think they should do?
